Trip Report 3-6 Limit at Caesar's Friday the 13th Date: 04/21/07 Player: Max 18 For Rooms: Caesars Palace, Summary: When fish fight back Content: Wanted to check out some poker action on my last trip to Vegas, so after I dropped off the wife at the hotel, Las Vegas Hilton-- great rooms for cheap-- drove out to Caesar's to see what the talk was all about. When I got to the room, it's next to the Pure niteclub and you can hear the thumping from the bass in the lobby of the entry way while you're sitting waiting for your table. After a half hour, got into a limit game and noticed a few things about the table. One, a Russian couple were talking in their language and was surprised the dealer said nothing till later. Identified the sharks so tried to stay out of their way but I wasn't getting any good cards. The only time I got AQ and flopped 2 pair, on my raise from early, everyone dropped out. Oops, I guess I could've slowplayed that one. Anyway, on one hand I was about to bet when an aggressive player puts chips in out of turn right before I crossed the line. I pull back but gave him a dirty look and the dealer warned him about acting out of turn. After the hand he said he didn't do anything wrong and when they called the floor manager I verified what the dealer told him. He turned and called me a liar and I told him he was full of --it. You fill in the blanks. He was ejected after disagreeing some more and at that point the loose and funny drunk to my left said: "Boy, I bet that was the last thing he expected was to almost have his -ss kicked by a fish." It was funny at first and then I said, " who's the fish?" Anyway, still didn't get squat and left after 20 minutes or so. Next time, I'll go to the Venetian. |
