playing at gold coast and venetian
Date: 04/06/07

For Rooms: Gold Coast,Venetian,

Summary: playing with the dealers

Content: We stayed at the Gold Coast, so I played there mostly in the morning while my wife was getting ready for the day. (usually 2 hours or more). Played 4-8 and found myself sitting with tight locals and lose tourists. Why some people feel they have to raise everytime, and stay in to the end and don't even have a pair in their hand, is beyond me. Needless to say I made about $200 in a short time. Wife was ready so that ended that session. While I was up $200 I entered the $200 buy in tournament at the Venetian. I was still in after half the players busted out and got AA. Flop came Q94 rainbow so I went all in. Got busted out by trip 9's. Ouch! Next night I was playing at the Gold Coast again and all the money was flowing to the opposite end of the table. A dealer who worked there sat down next to me and bought in for $100. She was out in 20 min. Do other rooms let their employees play in the house? Anyway, I ended up about $400 up for the trip. I am moving there in May, so I guess I will become one of those dreaded locals. See you there! Mike
