Las Vegas at its best! 3/12-3/15
Date: 03/16/07
Player: BigT025
For Rooms: Aladdin,Excalibur (Live),MGM Grand,Mirage,Venetian,

Summary: Hit up Vegas From 3/12 to 3/15 with 4 buddies, lots on donkeys and fish at the tables!

Content: We got in to Vegas on the 12th at 9pm, and decided to walk around for awhile. Somehow we ended up at the Mirage and sat down at their 1/2NL game. Average mix of players, some super drunk, some hot shot-internet players, didnt play long but finished up $40, average room. Ended up back at our Hotel, Aladdin and played their 1/2NL game until 6am and busted out when someone called me down to the river w/ a gutshot and hit when I flopped trips, finished down $110 for the night, all in all a very DEAD poker room at the Aladdin, not much going on. Got up the next day and headed down to MGM for some 1/2NL, very nice room and they started a new table right when I showed up, very easy table to run over for a solid, aggressive player and over the day I made $180 profit there. Decided to play the $180 Venetian 8pm tournament because of all the great stuff Ive read about the V on here and I must say I was not dissapointed. GREAT room, really classy/comfortable, pitboss Daniel was great, well-run tournament, but unfortunately I didnt do as well as I had hoped when some French guy called all-in w/ a 5 high flush draw and hit. Decided to stick around for some 1/2NL and was seated right away. The table was somewhat tough, with 2 aggressive players to my left with both of them having over 1K in front of them. I tried to stay out of their way for the most part aside from one huge bluff that I pulled on one of them and chipped my way to a $240 profit there before cashing out, one more time, Venetian is the place to play in my eyes. Next day headed to Excaliber for some odd reason and got a 1/2NL table going, with very fishy competition. Easy table and I finished up $170 there, average room, crappy cocktail waitresses, I wouldnt play there again.
All in all a great trip, I think a solid, aggressive player, who doesnt take too many chances should make alot of money at most 1/2NL tables throughout Vegas. The trip ended even better when at 6AM coming back from our last night out I decided to throw $100 on red and let it ride, pushing that up to $400 :). Finished up over 500 for the trip, (assuming Texas covers today :)), thanks for this site, its the best tool!
