Day 1
Arrived on Friday, December 15. My brother and I got to Vegas at 9 am so checked my bags at the Hilton where we were staying and then went to check out the Sahara as we didnt want to taxi to the strip until we got into our room. We played the 11 am tourney in which I busted out with KK v A4s v QJ. Shoulda pushed preflop But wanted action and got it. Flop came Q 10 blank two spades. allin after the flop and the flush hit on the river. Went to play there only cash game which was a 2/4 FL. First time to play a low fixed limit and I won 96 dollars while waiting for my brother who was still in the tourney.
Went to check in and meet up with my other brother. All three of us went to Bellagio to check out the WPT event. Saw plenty of pros. Then we went across to Ceasars to play some 1-2NL. I had three big hands and what come to be to big suckouts for this Donkey. The first one was AA in the cutoff and I raised to 12 with the button reraising me to 30 and I just called. Flop came King little little. and I check and he moves allin for about 85 and I called and he has AK and it holds up. I then donk off about 350 of the 400 i had in front of me and that table broke because of the 7 pm tourney. I went to a new table and had JJ and I raise to 12 and get 2 callers and flop was Q82 checked to me and i bet 15 and get 1 caller. the turn is my Jack. checked to me again and I bet 15 and he raises to 60 and i call hopin the board pairs because i thought he hit a str8. River is a 8 pairin the board and he leads out 120 and i raise all in for 105 more. he lays down his twos full. About 100 up and then my last big hand was on my fav hand. I had 10-8 diamonds mid pos. and raise to 12 with the button calling. Flop is 10 high and I bet 20 and he calls. Turn is still under the board and i bet again and get raised so i just call. River is my 8 and I bet 120 and he calls with JJ. My two pair on the river was good.
Day 2
Go to Ceasars at 10 to play live and then the noon tourney. Won 150 in the live game when i flopped a King high flush with position. Small blind bet 5 early pos. made it 20 and i called. then the sb raised to 40 and ep calls and i go all in for about 120. the sb calls immediately and ep folds. He had J8 heart flush, ep had 67 hearts. No q of heart hit and my King high flush wins. Eat lunch and then get into the noon tourney 5 min late and missed on blind. I Make it to the final 2 tables and im chip leader on my table and i made a move on badbeats(previos poster) who was to my left when a flush hit but i missed my str8. then busted him out 10th when he raised and im pot commited in BB. Went on to get second and cash 2700, but like everyone says i have to pay taxes because its a HARRAHS owned CO. Go on to check out the Venetian get into their 200 bounty tourney. Lost out early but my brother went on to get 2nd even though i was there to be his railbird like he was because i got drunk and donked off 300 in the 1-2 NL. My oldest brother took me to the hotel because he got a headache from the perfume smell.
Day 3
Wake up feeling terrible from the 2 doubleshots of Goldschlager after the 15-20 beers throughout the day. Woke up at 12 and went o watch football in the hilton sportsbook but there were no seats so i sat in on one of 3 1-2 tables and made $150 inabout an hour. Won a big pot off a little asian lady when i had A10 and a 10 high flop with 2 hearts and the lady went allin for 85 with a pot of 40. I call and she had KJ of Hearts and my pair holds up. Took the rest of the day off to recoup and then played in the 7 pm Sahara tourney. I made it to the final table. When there were six left i had 32000 in chips out of 588000. the shortest stack raises allin for 25000 when im in the BB for 8000. I call with 33 and he has JJ. i lose and have 4000 in the sb and i have 3000 behind. folds to me and i have Q4 and call allin. bb has 10-6 and i hold up. next hand on the button i raise allin for 14000 with 10-7 and bb calls with 78 and i win again. A few hands later i get KJ and go allin and have A9 call me from the other short stack. He has me outchipped by 3000 but i hit a jack on the river and run my 7000 up to 70000 in chips. and once we got to the top 4 i talked everyone into chopping for second place money. I took 1000 while the 2 good stacks to 1120 and the chip leader got my 120 more for 1240.
I had a great time and this Donkey waled away up about 2500.
Well i hope it wasnt too long but Ceasars is good with plenty of 1-2nl and good tourneys. the Venetian is the best run Poker room in vegas with the best middle limit tourneys and no tax forms. and I would like to tell DCARP that im sorry if i was a ASS pun intended. Yall served the alcohol. the Sahara is a very good low limit tourney because u can play for the first 2 breaks and then its allin fest. The hilton has no really loose action unless u get hooked up with the little asian lady.
