2 Brothers in Vegas
Date: 09/30/06
Player: kimo
For Rooms: Bellagio,Binion's,Fitzgeralds,Flamingo,Harrah's,Paris,Plaza,Tuscany,
Summary: I picked up my brother from NY at the airport while I drove in from L.A. Spent 5 great days together gambling in various casino's and being actually real tourists. If you have a free day I recommend the rafting trip on the Colorado River.
Content: While my brother is a Barract Player and I play craps usually I did take a few hours a day to play poker. This report is not about winning or losing but on the actual poker rooms themselves. The prettiest has to be the Bellagio. Good staff and comfortable chairs and plenty of room.Bring your wallet because you will need it. This room was made for the intention of playing poker and not an ADD on thought when it got so popular. The Tuscany was a small room but set aside for actually playing poker. Binions was the Yankee stadium of poker but it has seen its day. Played at the Plaza and it was tucked away in the back- Good game if your a low limit player. Fitzgeralds was hard to find and you had to ask where it was. The best one I played at was the Flamingo- It had the best table cloth and friendly dealers. Harrahs was a glassed in wall dungeon with NO atmosphere. The people looked at you like a monkey in a cage. Paris was right in the middle of the casino in a roped off area and Im sure it was hard to concentrate with so much foot traffic going by.Especially the eye candy.
