35th Birthday Trip to Vegas
Date: 08/12/06
Player: diamondjoe35
For Rooms: Imperial Palace,Sahara,

Summary: If you can't have fun in Vegas, you'd might as well roll over and die or join a convent

Content: Arrived on Tues, 8 Aug (Birthday) at IP. Checked in, played some 2-4 NL; first off, if you question your poker skills, Vegas is a great place for exposure, as there's a lot of folks that think they can play cards, but not really. Up $20 in 2 Hrs.

Entered $50 NL tourney at 7PM at IP. Heed what everyone says; DON'T PLAY DRUNK!! I got cocky after 2 10-A straights and went all in on K-6 Clubs (not very smart) and was easily eliminated.

2nd day went to Sahara for 7PM tourney($42 buy in). 167 people, placed 120th after 2.5 hrs; this tourney was amazing and I highly recommend it for tournament players. $2000 in chips and $20 re-buy gets you a total of $4000 in chips with 20 min blinds that start at 25-50. Lots of value for the money and the staff there is very friendly and helpful. Free sandwiches at the first break (very good).

3rd day played Keno and drank lots of whiskey....overall great time for my first Las Vegas experience.
