July 4 - 8 The New Rooms: Venetian, Caesars & Wynn
Date: 07/09/06
Player: AC Trips
For Rooms: Caesars Palace,Treasure Island (TI),Venetian,Wynn,

Summary: Arrived the 4th in the afternoon. Stayed at Treasure Island but I never got around to plaing poker there. Not impressed with the room at all. Instead played at three other fairly new rooms: Venetian, Caesar's and Wynn.

Content: Arrived the 4th in the afternoon. Stayed at Treasure Island but I never got around to plaing poker there. Not impressed with the room at all. It's small, with cheesy looking tables that have vinyl instead of felt, and advertise various TI nite clubs and resturants. I walked across the street(skywalk actually) to Venetian and within 10 minutes I was at the new Venetian Poker room.
Venetian: It's beautiful, and despite what I've read on this site it's anyting but dead. The main room was about 2/3 full at 3PM and I proceeded to sit down at $1-$2 NL table and play 5 hours with a profit of $253. Turned out to be my best session of the trip. Played there 3 more times and had 2 modest profits, and one losing session of - $65. Well run room, and very pleasant staff. The cocktail waitresses are GORGEOUS!! Exceeded maybe only by Wynn's waitresses.
Wynn: I was in Vegas at Christmas and went to see the new Wynn poker room but didn't play because lowest NL game was $2-$5. They now have $1-$3 NL game. I played a session there of about 4 hours and finished about $50 down. Toughest game I played in the whole trip. My table was mostly locals, not many tourists, and too many solid players, like me, just waiting to trap someone for a big hit. Loved the room though. Well run and extremely HOT cocktail waitresses. They all looked liked models, except better endowded.
Caesars: My favorite room in Vegas now. I played there at Christmas right after it opened and I loved it, and this trip did nothing to change my view. Played three $1-$2 NL sessions there, all with profits of $50 - $100, nothing major, just a fun time. Also played one of the Noon tourneys with $80 buy-in but ran into AA twice when I had JJ. First time I was able to use my $50 rebuy option, 2nd time I was gone. Caesars has the friendliest, and I might add cutest female staff running the room. The room manager, young slim, smart looking woman with glasses, reminds me of Tina Fey. I failed to get her name. I think she's hot. Can't wait to go back.
