my trip was so exciteing, i played a texas holdem tourney at sam's town. it seemed to have locals playing in the tourney and at the cash tables, play at the cash tables for hours can result in free tournament play. i decided not to play at golden nugget, the buy in's and rebuy's and time running out on my trip. the poker room seemed to be very nice. i walked across the street and played 3 card poker and let it ride for hours, the pit boss was an older gent with a wonderful sense of humor, he told jokes the whole time i was there, pretty sure his name was joe..harrah's poker tables had a 10 min. bet, i prefer a 5 dollar table,i did however play pia gow not sure if that's spelled right, that was my first time playing it live..i was at the table for 2 hours and had won 10 dollars..i think the envy bet and bonus bet is such a long shot it's not worth it...i stopped at arizona charlie's it's got major construction going on, no tournament play and i think only 3 poker tables period...tropicana's poker room also disappointed me 1 table in play there was room for more tables,but there was only the one sad but true..i was at hotters twice never saw a poker table only slots. imperial palace had 5 dollar tables for 3 card poker..didn't see a poker room, also didn't see a poker room at boulder station. the only standard i seen at all the poker rooms were smoke free, and that's ok too...hope you enjoy your trip...truely, candy |
