7 Casinos in 4 days!
Date: 02/09/06

For Rooms: Hooters,Imperial Palace,MGM Grand,Mirage,Orleans,Palms,Wynn,

Summary: Played 50 Hours in 4 days. Favorite=MGM Worst=Hooters Classiest=Wynn Hippest Crowd=Palms

Content: Just got back from Vegas and my goal was to play in 10 casinos. Only made it to seven but had a great time doing it. (I was there 4 nights). First let me describe myself as a player so you can understand where I'm coming from. I play mostly limit $4/$8 or $3/$6 and do well (yes, I really do, lol) I am a 35 year old male and I play a lot online and in the local casinos (Arizona). So let's get started. THE ORLEANS - big room with plenty of action. They offer mostly lower limit games along with no limit as well. I did see an Omaha game going also. The room is filled with locals whether you think that is good or bad. I heard some of the best stories ever in regards to the poker greats (many of whom played with these guys at some point!) and old time Vegas from these locals. Very entertaining and very nice people. Keep in mind there were bad players at every casino I went to. Maybe more so because of Super Bowl weekend which meant more tourists. Coctail service decent and the waitresses were HOT! I was staying at the Orleans and the rooms were adequate. They do offer a jackpot as well.

The Palms - Smaller room but very nice. The tables were beautiful although a few of them did not have automatic shufflers with slowed the game down a bit. Younger crowd. Dealers seem to like to play here. Played very late so there were A LOT of drunk players wandering in who really had no business playing (but I am glad they did). Service good. Wait not too long. Offers low limit and no limit and the no limit games they have are very tough!

Imperial Palace - Old School! Went to play a $55 freezeout no limit tourney. Nice size room but not very glamourous. Did well in there no limit game which was $100 MAX buy in. Sat down when the table started (best time). Waitresses nothing to look at, but good service. Very friendly

Hooter's Casino - Went the day after the grand opening. Hated it. Advertised the poker room on the big sign outside. Walked in and there was only 4 tables crammed into a corner. Extremely loud and obnoxious players. Atmosphere very annoying. The only girls there were the Hooter's girls so you had about 300 drunk guys roaming around. Gene Simmons was there, Dan Marino was there, along with a few **** stars. I'm sure you get the vibe. Anyway the table i played at were using"over buttons" which means that if everyone in the hand had this button, the game goes from limit to no limit. I was the only one without the button so when I was in a hand the game stayed at limit. Weird. Worst room ever, but a lot of hot girls. Worth just a look but that's it.

The Mirage - Loved this poker room. Dealers were the best I have ever experienced. Entertaining without slowing the game. Extremely professional. All limits offered. One of my favorites. Will play there again. Service good as well.

Wynn - If you are a high roller, you will really like this casino. Big money games here (just like Bellagio). Wait was very long. Minimum game was $4/$8. Good Service. Classy.

MGM - I think out of all of these casinos, this is my favorite. It's not really in a room but in the middle of the casino. Does not really distract you though. Great set up and plently of tables. Good menu and you can eat at the tables. The actual tables themselves are fantastic. They have a marble trim and are not as wide. All limits and I didn't have to wait too long.

If you have other questions about any of these casinos, just let me know! Hope this helps...
