Trip Report Fish got lucky Date: 01/30/06 Player: manilatrips For Rooms: Bellagio,Caesars Palace,MGM Grand, Summary: Won $603 playing limit on Caesar's, Bellagio and MGM. Content: Decided to apply my family for Tourist visas in the US just to play poker, my wife who is not big USA fan is not thrilled that I'm going to drag her to the gambling capital, she would rather go to hongkong or australia, to make story short, we arrived at LAX, right there immigration gave us hassle and made us felt unwelcomed, that infuriated my wife and argued with everybody in the airport, airport officials finally apologized and let us go on our merry way, my wife is so mad that she spent $8000 shopping at Glendale mall, that's her therapy. She also do not want to go to Vegas and just want to stay with her sister that she has not seen for 5 yrs. So I arrived by myself in Vegas Dec 18 and left Dec 21, I was going to try tournaments but decided to try cash games, checked in at imperial palace but went across to Caesars, first impression I noticed is that slots don't use coins unlike in casinos in Manila, so casinos in Manila are behind, we also do not have holdem poker in manila yet. I learned holdem poker playing online, so now I'm seating in front of this actual players and I'm so nervous, table is loose but I played tight, did'nt get good cards in the first hour until I got this hand, pocket deuces, limp in from the middle, suddenly button raised, sb reraised and bb capped, I was sicked to my stomach, so I decided to at least see the flops, flopped AK8,all hearts, damn, I was going to throw away my card at any bet but we all checked, turn is a deuce,another hearts, sb and bb checked , I bet to bluff, button raised, sb folded, bb reraised, I called and of course button freakin capped the bets. But the poker gods were with me that night and river was another deuce, bets were again capped and showed my pocket deuce and they all said the f word. I won $400 that night playing 3/6. The next day I checked out Bellagio, boy that place is crowded, got to play after 30 minutes of waiting, played 4-8, this table is so tight, I can't breathe, that is until this Paris hilton looking lady sat down, she would bet whatever the flop is and she's actually winning after an hour, that until I hit 4 non consecutive trips, that's why my username is manilatrips, trips deuce, sevens, jacks and kings, only the jacks became full house. After 6 hrs playing I won $200. Last day, I went to MGM, up and down, music is loud and kids drunk but still paying attention, started losing $150 playing 3/6 after getting rivered several times. Then started getting my what again, guess what?, I got 2 trips again and both of them resulted in full houses, both were big pots, so after 5 hrs, only won $3. Sorry for the long story. |
