Trip Report Tourney action and NL at MGM Date: 01/25/06 Player: rt For Rooms: ,MGM Grand, Summary: Two tounaments and an up and down ride at the NL tables. Content: Arrived in Vegas on Friday night(1/20). Stayed and played at the MGM. Hit the 2-4 table around 10pm. There was no wait so I sat right down. played pretty loose, as did almost eveyone at the table. Played for 5 hours and finshed up $54. Played the 12:00pm Alladin tournament on Saturday. $110 buy in with around 60 players. No rebuys, but players who got knocked out in the first hour could re-enter as a new player. Played very tight early and picked up a couple of good pots. the players were all pretty good for the most part with a few rooks. I got lucky at the final table- short stacked went all in with k,8 suited up against KK and caught runner reunner for the flush. Ended up finishing 3rd and collected $850. Well run tournament! Played 6:00pm tournament at MGM and busted out halfway through.(they tell you that registration starts at 4:30, but I registered at 4:00). Played about 18 hours of 1-2 NL at MGM during my stay and finshed down about $300. Lost most of my money late nights tired and playing to many hands, but had a blast. Caught pocket rockets and had a guy go all in pre flop...I call and catch quad A's. Left up a few hundred thanks to the good finish at the Alladin. Can't wait to get back. |
