spent 5 days in vegas for a work conference turned poker trip. Played alongside many AVPers including miamicane, donkeytax, zippyboy, delgadobb and TBC. This quick trip report is really just a plug to get you to come read my blog. Head over there for extended coverage of my trip. For reference, here is a summary of my winnings for the trip... err make that losings!!
- $540 Bellagio five star (27th out of 145)
+ $127 in $1/$2 cash at Strat (did well made one bad call giving up extra $35)
- $65 in strat 11pm tourney (out relatively early with AK < AJ all in preflop for 17X BB)
+ $225 at Mgm $2/$5 game (folded questionable AK preflop)
+ $330 Bellagio five star (11th out of 148) - just missed big payouts
+ $72 aria $1/$2 cash
- $125 aria tourney (out about 40th out of 100 on 3bet value shove with KQ < AJ over late raise)
- $150 osheas $1/$2 cash (yes I lost at Osheas, made one bad call I'd like back)
+$205 mandalay tourney (chopped 2nd out of 40?)
- $125 aria tourney ( lost 77 < 99) (25th out of 50?)
- $148 mgm $2/$5 (lost huge pot on river with flopped straight to two pair/boating up) - manhandedly table short handed other wise
- $127 riveria $1/$2 cash - had to correctly fold AA twice
overall lost $311
won $9 on cash and lost $320 on tourneys...
made some deep tourney runs but didn't cash in on them nothing exciting in cash games but I was def running bad overall. I can't complain as I had been running really well on line (go see sharkscope for vookenmeister) so variance was due to catch up with me.
this ends my streak of 9 straight winning multi-day trips including vegas/AC/carribean !!!
Fortunately it was a free trip and I will get my money back in per diem food costs. Still the trip was a loss but on a positive note I think with a little run good I would've scored big in the tourneys. it is a real bummer to bust out in 11th place right before the payouts jump up... with a chance to win $23K
