Las Vegas Trip Report

On Monday the 10th, I started out from my home driving to the Alliate station. I started at 5pm. I arrived several days later. this is the farthest casino in the world. I think I passed through a part of Utah to get their.

After arriving at the casino, I got into the only game going in the room, 2-4 limit hold'em. Mike joined in 10 minutes later. Six of the ten players had overs buttons so I got one. For those of you who don't know what OVERS buttons are, they turn a limit game into a no-limit game for the players with the bottons.

Alliante station is a very modern casino. It looks similar to Red Rock. they have a beautiful card room. I think that when the economy comes back and the houses in North Las Vegas are sold, this room will fill up. After about 5 hands, I got into a hand with Mike and he felted me. I lost $40 in that hand. thus ends my career at Alliante.

At about 6pm we left Alliante and went to Arizona Charlies. Although there was no game going on, we did hear the theme to this EA, ABC by the Jackson5. We left there and drove to the Aria.

We arrived at the Aria at 6:45. They had 6 games going. I jumped into a 1-3 nl hold'em game. Mike got into another game. I moved over to his table. we played for about an hour and then a sort of poker celebrity sat down at our table. Sara Hale. Daughter of Oklahoma Johnny Hale.

Sara currently plays poker and occasionally writes a column in one of the poker magazine. Her father was a fixture in vegas poker from the late 70's until about 2003. He played and cashed in a number of big tournaments during that time. He had 12 cashes in WSOP events starting in 1980.

Back to Sara. Sara is a stunning young lady who has been playing in vegas for about 10 years. My ex, EVIL, said she thinks sara is hot. I bring up this point for one reason. don't get distracted by a pretty face. Sara knows how to play. She took some bad beats, but she know what she is doing. And like most women, knows how to flirt at the table. So be careful when you see something you like sitting down at the game. While I like the company of pretty women, I don't get distracted looking at OD, CLem, or NAM at TI.

While i didn't lose to her, I did lose $200 in the game. Mike won $200. Then we left for Bally's at 10pm.

We had dinner at Bally's and then just ended the EA. Had a lot of fun even though I lost $240. I guess the B's will have to wait until next time.
