Live in Arkansas and drove 2 hours to the Tulsa airport to catch a morning flight flying Southwest with my girlfriend Wednesday morning. Flight was nice, nearly last one's to board but a nice gentleman moved to another seat so her and I could sit together. Actually sat next to a Southwest pilot who was headed home and was in charge of 700+ other pilots, he was very nice and chatted it up for 2 1/2hrs. Landed in Vegas at 12:30 and took a cab ride to the Trump.
**Warning long report**

Asked fellow AVP members how much I should expect to pay for a cab ride, some said around $20-25, ended up only costing $18 so very happy. (I did tip)
Checked in and headed to find something to eat since we skipped breakfast and it was 2:30 central time by now. Walked to Stripburger and the gf forgot her ID (she looks 12) at the hotel but the waitress was nice and let us in. Didn't get waited on for about 10 minutes and had to ask for service. (Should have been a clue that the trip was not going to be good) Finally got service and the manager was really nice in apologizing...food was great but for 2 burgers and fries was $40 after tip.(Not worth it)
Go back to the hotel to get her ID and change. Notice that I have a spider bite right at the bottom of my right buttocks!! Needless to say very itchy and uncomfortable to sit on. Made for a miserable time.
Head to the Wynne since it was closest to the hotel. Not impressed by the poker room since it was off in the corner but never have seen anything like the Sportsbook. AMAZING!! Seen Sean Shakan (however you spell his name) Place a little $5 stupid parlay. (LOST) GF and I sign up for a player's club card. Conned us into sticking $10 each into a machine for "free-play" and ended up losing it. Played 2-deck bj (preferred game) for awhile, never seen such tables so ruthless, sat at 3 different tables for a total of MAYBE 1 hr. Dealers not very friendly or talkative Down -$1,100
Walked over to Venetian and had some Gelato. DELICIOUS!! In a better mood now so decide to give BJ another try. Another brutal session and played at 2 tables for about another hr down -$800. Again, no engaging conversation with dealers or anyone.
GF thought maybe we should walk and sightsee to get my mind off the losses. Walk around for awhile and end up at Bellagio. Gave Roulette a try -$100, decided to give 6deck BJ a try. Up and down for about 3 hrs, while enjoying drinks. Should have left up $800 but ended up losing it plus $700 more.
Getting late so we decide to cab it back to either dinner or the hotel. Told the GF that I lost all the cash and the rest was at the hotel.
BJ & Roulette -$2,700
Decided on Maggino's for dinner. Noticed the cab didn't have a credit card machine and asked if he accepted them. Jerk immediately stopped and almost kicked us out. Ended up taking us to the hotel to grab my other stash of cash and didn't tip. Dinner was good but almost fell asleep at the table since it was now almost 11pm central time, early flight, and some drinking. Called it a night.

Went to the Premium Outlet Mall and bought TONS of stuff. So much the AMEX thought it was fraud and had to call. Basically spent all day doing Tourist stuff. GF went bed early so I headed to the Venetian to catch some poker since I like playing long sessions. Got into a 1-2 PLO. Met a really nice girl that deals at Bellagio named Rachel. We chatted it up and she was the first nice person I had a conversation with in Vegas. We tilted the table due to a little innocent flirting which was just whispering in eachother's ears, talking during hands which had NOTHING to do with the game, and showing eachother our hands when we mucked. Had a good time, doubled up in about 30 minutes, bought in for max $500. Had my stack to over $1,200 but too much flirting, cranberry-vodka's, and ultra's. About 5 hrs later went busto. Decided to hit the DEVILS game again. Did I mention I'm really drunk by now. Found a 2-deck game and since it was Thursday really busy. Bought in for $2,000...had a good time with the other fellows at the table but went broke about 3 hrs later.
BJ -$2,000
Poker -$500
Trip Total -$5,200

Amazingly woke up with no hangover. Ordered breakfast in bed. 2 eggs, 2 sausages, toast, potatoes, bottled water, and orange juice. $65!!! What a rip!! GF wanted to do more tourist things. Took a taxi to Mandalay Bay. Seen the shark reef. $17 each for literally 2 minutes?? RIP OFF!! Decided to hit the BJ tables again. Sat at a 6deck -$500 but met some nice guys from St. Louis and the dealer was actually fun. Moved to a 2deck. Guy next to me proceeds to tell me he is down $60,000. Looks about 21 and I just thought he was trying to impress my GF. Well we sit next to him and first hand BLACKJACK!! =) He calls floor over and asks for a $40,000 marker. WOW!! Now I believe him!! He decides to play with me and another guy from Jersey who is also nice. We have a good run and I ended up making +$4,000...high roller ends up +10,000 after paying back his $100,000 marker. Call it a day for gambling and do more tourist things.
Total trip -$1,200

Last entire day. Wake up and have a bagel instead of another high $$$ breakfast. Head over to the Wynne to try to get revenge. Play 2deck and another brutal session -$1,000. See the Ferrari dealership...REALLY nice! Do more tourist things. Ate at the Grand Luxe for lunch, not impressive. Head to the hotel for a nap. Go to dinner at Joe's Crab really good food and service. Highly recommend...not bad either, for the two after tip was $150. Went to PH to see "Peepshow." Had a really good time with the GF. GF was tired and it was the last night. Put her in a taxi and I head to the Aria.
It's Friday night and I waited 30 mins for a 2-5 PLO to start. Decided it wasn't worth it and headed to the Venetian. Got into a 1-2 PLO immediately. Bought in for max $500. Played for 2 hours with the same nits from the previous session. Down $200. Guess what I did next??? DEVILS GAME!! Bought in for $5,000. Played exactly 16 hands and went busto. Decided I had enough of Vegas. No friendly people, dealers. Really started to miss the Southern hospitality. Hopped into a cab back to the Trump, the cabbie tried to talk me into going to a "Massage" parlour. Had something 100x better waiting for me at the hotel.
Total Trip -$6,200
To sum up the entire trip. Everything was overpriced, seemed like everyone tried to con us into buying or doing something, and most people needed an attitude adjustment. Surprising that it was so hard to find a regular deep PLO game in Vegas. Booking another trip in June for WSOP. Hope next trip is better and meet nicer folks and fellow AVP members. Really enjoy reading everyone's trip reports. Hope mine was good if it's someone's first time going to Vegas and wanting to know what to expect.
