Trip Report Sucessful -unsecessfull poker trip Date: 06/23/08 Player: Leo For Rooms: Bellagio,Caesars Palace,Imperial Palace,Paris, Summary: Women vs. poker Content: Just returned from Vegas trip with my g-friend. The purpose of this report is to share my thoughts abotu taking your girl with you while playing poker. I am a pretty solid player, a regular at the LA's commerce poker world, so I feel very comfortable taking Vegas' some of the softest games. I took my g-friend with me this time and boy... First of all ( she is a sweetheart and a very nice woman) I couldn't play normal poker because I would get txt messages from her "I am tired, I am alone, let's go etc." I made some good results in poker. Bellagio: had to wait 1,5 hours each time to get to 2-5 NL game, managments - terrible, crowded room, but pretty good actiion. First day + 500 Imperial Palace +200, Second day Bellagio +250. Now, I had to occasionally peel off 100 bills for her to play the slots, to keep her busy. She won $1200. Not a bad team work. To spend more time with her I had to play blackjack. Paris-another +150. We had 1 hour till the show and played some three card poker (these are not my games, but I had to play to be with her). She hits a straight flush another + 250. After a while I fit a straight flush another +400. Now my wallet cannot contain all the cash I have. Fantastic! We eat at Bellagio's super restaurants spending 100 each time for a great food. The last day - disaster. I can't play poker, there is 60 people waiting list at the Bellagio. Nothing else to do. To kill time ( and given the previous winnings) we hit the slots...I could only see how the money went away from us. Anyway, blew all the winnings in 2 hours or so, just because there was nothing else to do. Won another 200 after I got the sit and had to leave soon. Anyway, overall, a great trip we broke even plus all the expenses, I am very satisfied with my play, but...blowing away all that money=stupid. Should a poker trip be with a woman or not, I don't know...? |
