| Tropicana - CLOSED Poker Room Description |
|
The Tropicana Poker Room grand re-opened in Summer of 2011 after being closed down for a major remodel of the entire property. The finished product is a 6 table room, located adjacent to the Race and Sports Book, that offers 2/4 Limit and 1/2 No Limit Hold'em with tournaments and high hand jackpots.
Managing the room is long term poker veteran Nick Gullo. Nick previously managed the Aladdin Poker Room and has worked as a poker room consultant for several years.
The Tropicana Poker Room is equipped with automatic shufflers, Genesis Bravo poker room management system, and several large flat screen televisions on all walls. Also, the room offers Keurig single cup coffee machines for player use in the back, as well as bottled water.
The Tropicana Poker Room itself includes brand new tables and new swivel, adjustable height chairs. The tables are spread apart and allow for easy wheelchair access and maneuverability.
The lists and the comp management of the Tropicana Poker Room is all electronic (Bravo system) and players earn $1 per hour comps on their Trop Players Card.

Room quality is excellent. Tables, chairs, screens, genesis bravo system, list.
Only downside is the fact that it is sometimes difficult to get a game going and you might be playing shorthanded at times.... Read more »

good room, good amenities, great promotion, amazing remodel

This is a well lit room, tables are well spaced and in its own dedicated area off the casino floor next to the pool entrance and easy to access from the parking area located on the Tropicana Blvd side of the building. Its a comfortable room near the Sports Book with new tables and chairs. Far enough away from the slots to not have residual noise. Only one table was going most of the time and it was 1-2NL. Restrooms are quite a hike from the location. ... Read more »
