Mandalay Bay Poker Room Description

The Mandalay Bay Poker Room has been open since the resort debuted in 1999 and offers 10 tables of Texas Hold'em poker of the No Limit and occasional Limit variety. Situated alongside one of the main casino thoroughfares and directly adjacent to the Race and Sports Book, the Mandalay Bay Poker Room fits well well within the resort and is one of the longer established poker rooms in Las Vegas.

Managed since opening by Kay White, the Mandalay Bay Poker Room is welcoming of all players, novices and professionals. Lists are tracked electronically using the Genesis Bravo List Management software.

The Mandalay Bay Poker Room is directly adjacent to a deli for quick food bites, and food can be eaten tableside. Cocktail service offers sodas, most call drinks, and energy drinks for players. The comp rate is $1 per hour which is tracked on an index card at the brush desk.

Promotions include High hand bonuses.

Even though I play in a bigger room back home, I still love coming to the Mandalay Bay Poker Room. It may not have the professional feel of one of the Big 4 rooms on the strip, but it is more than adequate to grind out cash games. The room was nice, open and right by the sports book which was awesome. There was a deli right there for quick eats and a starbucks close. Poker + food + coffee + sportsbook = cool. They usually only had 1/2 NL, and no one showed up for the tournaments.... Read more »
