Mandalay Bay Poker Tournaments: Yes
Weekend Wait-Time: The wait time here varies. I've never had to wait longer than 30 minutes though to get in a game. Smoking Allowed: No Mandalay Bay used to allow smoking, but the entire room is now completely non-smoking. Poker Room Rate: Yes Daily Room Rates: $115 (Sunday -Thursday) $175 (Friday & Saturday) Daily Play Requirement: 5 hours Editor's Review - Mandalay Bay Poker Room Total Rating: 3.40 Room Quality Rating: 4 Very nice card room. The Mandaly Bay poker room is a medium sized room in very good condition. It tends to attract a younger crowd than some of the older poker rooms in Vegas. A major plus is that I haven't spotted to many semi-pro players trying to hack out a profit there. Competition Rating: 3 Competition is about average. I have played 10 sessions at the Mandalay Bay poker room over the past two years. I've had a positive session 60% of the time. The poker players at the Mandaly Bay tend to be younger, but more skilled than other nearby poker rooms such as the Excalibur. Dealer Rating: 3 Dealers are average. Nothing to complain about. Cocktail Rating: 3 The cocktail waitresses are above average looking. The Mandalay Bay is known for employing some of the better looking girls in town. Unfortunately, these beautfiul ladies take their time bringing the drinks. On multiple visits I have had to wait 30 minutes for my first drink. Management Rating: 3 I've never had any problems with the management. Comps Rating: 3 Poker room rate is $115 during the week and $175 on weekends. You must average 5 hours per day for this rate. Food comps are also available after 4 hours.
