| Riviera Poker Room Description |
|
The Riviera Poker Room is located near the Strip entrance to the casino. Use the underground Strip parking located at the South end of the property on Las Vegas Blvd and the poker room is at the top of the escalators and to the left.
The room typically spreads 1/3 nl Hold'Em and 3/6 fixed limit Hold'Em with a $2 max rake.
The room offers several different tournament and cash game promotions that are updated monthly.
The poker room manager is a regular user of the AVP forums and only too happy to answer any questions on the forums or via PM.

Rarely had players

Small, but with good location at front of casino so it doesn't take long to check and see there is no game going and then to go to Circus Circus and see no game going there as well.... Read more »

Excellent Customer Service for a Private Tournament
By: lightning36 Date: 07/15/12

I had never played in the Riviera poker room before. It is a smallish space but very comfortable. The tables and chairs were very good. Mark, the manager, went waaay out of his way to accommodate our group of about 18 players. It was like playing in a home game on the Las Vegas Strip. Tons o\' fun!... Read more »

Riviera Revitalized?
By: TheGameKat Date: 05/27/12

The Riviera poker room is just a roped-off area, as is common with many Strip casinos. Despite some of the fixtures and fittings being a little worn, the area is clean and smells better than many similar facilities. It\'s also quiet, which is something of a mixed blessing since it reflects the fact the casino floor in general is not particularly busy. Overall it\'s comfortable.... Read more »

The Riv has changed a lot in over the last 5 years....
By: 6-8offsuit Date: 01/21/12

The "room" sits at the front of the casino on the floor near the Strip entrance. There are a few tables roped off from the surrounding slots. This is the 3rd spot it's moved to in recent memory and by far my least favorite. Chairs are still old/uncomfortable. ... Read more »

Wonder if it will be there next time
By: AustinBluffs Date: 11/25/11

Located in a roped off area near the front entrance. Average furnishings. Games don't seem to start until about 3 pm when the double hours for weekly freeroll qualification begins. Only one or two tables of 1/2 running. The casino seems dead and it made me wonder how long the Riv will still be around...... Read more »

Friendly staff and local burnouts
By: OJPOKER Date: 11/23/11

Poor location (casino and poker room in casino), OK tables...matches the decor of the casino...poor. Out of the way and no incentive to go there as games are not always being played. Freeroll is better than most as top 10 get $250 and only about 25 play in it.... Read more »

Not really worth going out of your way to play.

Not in a high traffic area. Liked it much better when it was near casino cashier. Loud, bad music from nearby lounge. Chairs not very comfortable.... Read more »

The room is next to the sports book and I was able to watch the games right from he table. At around 9pm the passion pit girls started gogo dancing witch made the experience excellent.... Read more »

Nice soft, friendly game. Easy money.
By: Spankenstein Date: 04/01/10

Chairs are old and uncomfortable but they have pads if you know to ask. The room is more of an area than a room, but that does help to attract hotel guests and people passing by. Parking in self park is a really long way, but if you valet, it is not bad at all. ... Read more »
