MGM Grand Poker Room Description

The MGM Grand Poker Room is one of the busiest rooms on the south side of the Las Vegas Strip and offers 22 tables of No Limit and Limit Hold'em action. Housing nearly 7,000 hotel rooms and suites, the MGM Grand is the second largest hotel in world (second only to Venetian), and houses a casino that exceeds 150,000 square feet. The poker room is located on the south side of the resort, adjacent to the Race and Sports Book, the Rainforest Café, and the Lion Habitat. It shares a common wall with a popular lounge called Centrifuge, which brings a significant amount of ambiance and atmosphere to the venue.

The MGM Grand Poker Room has a dedicated poker room cashier cage in addition to a brush desk where the lists are maintained. The MGM Grand Poker Room was the first Strip room to utilize the Genesis Gaming Bravo system, including tableside units to swipe and track players through the use of their MGM Resorts International M Life card.

The black upholstered chairs of the MGM Grand Poker Room match the resort and the overall style of the room itself, with its black and darn brown color palettes. Regarding layout, the restrooms are located nearby and a complimentary valet service is offered to players to ease the walk time from valet parking to the room itself. The room is divided between No Limit and Limit games and met in the middle by the dedicated cashier cage.

The MGM Poker Room offers Coca Cola products as well as most call drinks, energy drinks, and fruit juices. Tableside food delivery is offered 24 hours a day and can be paid for with accumulated comps on their M Life card.

Comps are tracked electronically at the table using the Genesis Bravo game management system. Players earn $1 per hour comps on their M Life card which can be redeemed for payment at nearly every food establishment in the MGM Grand Resort.

Rule Violation
By: Marty222

The room quality is very good and the play is fun and enjoyable however the room managers need some help with the rules. If a player does not protect their cards and they get swept into the muck the hand should be dead! The room manager allowed them to point out the two cards from a pile and play to the end. This was a very bad call in my opinion!... Read more »

Surely the only place in the world where you can play cards overlooking two lions eating their dinner. Surreal! Cash games are plentiful with little waiting time although the area around the card room gets very loud in the evenings and can be quite distracting.... Read more »

Still one of the best for 1-2 NL poker!
By: loose cannon

The MGM Grand Poker Room is maintained a steady and constant of top-notch quality. Every year I play there the room is consistently clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The stream of people on the rail, the lion cage, and the proximity of the Rainforest Cafe (aquariums) make this room very comfortable to play at. I also enjoy having Starbucks very close by. IMO the MGM Grand Poker room is ... Read more »
