| Sam's Town Poker Room Description |
|
The Sam’s Town poker room is the largest poker room on Boulder Highway and one of the oldest continuously operating card rooms in the city. Recently relocated and remodeled the modern Sam’s Town poker room is a far cry from the humble poker parlor that it once was. The room has been upgraded significantly, with new adjustable height swivel chairs, re-felted tables, side tables, and autoshufflers in half of the room’s tables. The new room is significantly more open than the previous location, with a large half wall that encloses the room and allows for significant walk by traffic.
The current 11 table room offers a daily spread of 4/8 LHE with a half kill and 2/4LHE also with a half kill. There is a daily 1-5 Stud Hi game (with $.25 ante) that spreads during the day, as well as a larger double qualifier stud game that spreads Wednesday nights.
Aesthetically, the Sam’s Town Poker Room offers dark wood veneers with burgundy and tan accents adorn the room, with modern chandeliers providing bright light over all tables.

Way better than what I was expecting......
By: aub51 Date: 10/01/10

Room at end of casino, good tables and chairs. The chips need replacement very old and worn. Had a good feel to it, was a little noisy as it is near a number of slot machines. Other than that a comfortable room and much larger than what I was expecting... Read more »

Fun little place to play
By: ACG2x Date: 11/29/06

Room was a smoke-hole when I last visited (I've heard they've outlawed it recently). Because of the cramped quarters you literally get a faceful of smoke every so often.
Room is overall decently nice. Don't go expecting anything lavish or large comfortable chairs you can sink into. This place is old school to it's core. No frills, sit down and play is the motif here. Room is reasonably clean an... Read more »

Average at best
By: Photoc Date: 12/15/05

First off, I cannot stand having very little to no room to move around in. This room was built for 6 tables and has something like 9 jammed in there. I just felt cramped the whole time and probably won't head back over there.... Read more »
