| Orleans Poker Room Description |
|
The Orleans Poker Room is a well established venue with 35 tables of around the clock action. Opening in 1996, the Orleans Poker Room offers the lowest rake of any major room (10%/$3 max plus $1 jackpot on all games). Owned and operated by Boyd Gaming, the Orleans is popular with locals and tourists alike. This poker room has games for most all players, including consistent Omaha 8 or Better at the 4/8 and 8/16 Limits. The room is located very close to self parking as well as the restrooms.
The Orleans Poker Room offers high back swivel adjustable leather chairs and a dedicated poker cashier cage. Several televisions align the upper walls, including one for list management. Tournaments have their own dedicated registration desk. There are two permanent walls and two half walls that seal in the room.
The Orleans Poker Room uses its own players card that is separate from the one used for the slot/pit areas. Nearly all cash game tables are equipped with automatic shufflers.
With regard to comps, the Orleans Poker Room offers players an hourly comp rate of $1.25 per hour for the first four hours then $0.50 an hour thereafter, up to $9 per day. These comps can be used at any food or retail venue at The Orleans.

Great room for limit players!
By: wilwom Date: 12/06/11

Roomy tables, decent chairs, clean but shows some wear. No problem getting and cashing out chips. Open on two sides to Casino and hallway but smoke not too bad. Restroom close. Several tables at each level allow for game selection. No bravo system but did have the auto shufflers.... Read more »

The room is big with soft chairs and plenty of televisions. The only bad thing is the loud speaker calling for players. It is louder than hell in the poker room but barely audible just outside the rail. ... Read more »

By: daguru Date: 06/20/11

Poker dies here, stay away
By: pd Date: 04/21/11

Everything is a bit old... the tables are worn, the chips are dirty, the chairs are also clearly old but at least they are height adjustable. The atmosphere is terrible. All the players are old locals and major grumps. Every time I've been there, and every table I've been at, one of the locals has gone off on the dealer for some minor mistake. The regulars never get penalized for it.
