What in the world were they thinking?
By: jbage007 Date: 06/25/12

Ventured out to see the new poker room at the Palms after hearing all of the hoopla. Very disappointed in the results.
What in the world were they thinking to put an open air poker facility in the sports bar area? It is like a new and improved version of the Orleans because of the proximity to all of the casino-generated smoke in the air. And if that isn't bad enough, the proximity to the ... Read more »

Home of the Pokerati Game
By: Grange95 Date: 01/05/12

Pretty average room. Not too special, but certainly comfortable with restrooms adjacent and next to the casino floor. Hosts the Pokerati mixed 1/2 NLHE/PLO game, which is awesome for those looking to learn PLO in a friendly environment.... Read more »

Least favorite room
By: TRB Date: 10/10/11

This room is the size of a restroom next to the casino with six tables and a small reception desk. The tables I was at were in good shape but two of the chairs I had were tlited to the side. The piped in music is very loud and modern. It is the least enjoyable room of the 30 or so I have played in. The only reason to play here again to me would be if I happened to live very close by and didn't wa... Read more »

Promos pack small, mostly locals room
By: twriter Date: 09/09/11

This room has a lot going for it. The play is generally soft and the dealers are good. It gives away a lot in promotions and takes just a $1 jackpot drop. But the tables are a bit crowded together, and not all have shufflers. The seats are just OK comfortable. The room is packed during promo periods, but dead when the promos are not in effect. (I made the mistake of stopping by on a Saturday after... Read more »

Busy room near Strip, plenty of 4/8 on weekday afternoons
By: Local Rock Date: 06/24/11

The room had an energetic vibe due to being totally packed for their very successful weekday afternoon "Action Aces" promo. It is not large or elegant, but I find it pleasant enough and restrooms couldn't possibly be any more conveniently located for poker players. Space in the room is a little tight, but not bad. Lists are handled the old fashioned way, with pen and paper.... Read more »

By: gator904 Date: 04/26/08

WOW, I read the last review and it was dejavou, I flopped an A high flush, seated across from dealer, The cocktail girl taps me on shoulder to give me my drink, I call raise to look down and see no cards, an oriental dealer had swiped them, I called floor but the guy I raised protested, dead hand, dead hand, he was a local so it went his way, I grabbed the top two cards and called them, A 9 spades...
