| Palms Poker Room Description |
|
The Palms Poker Room was recently remodeled and now includes six tables spreading No Limit and Limit Hold'em every day, as well as a special Pot Limit Omaha/Hold'em Mix Game one night a week. Located directly adjacent to the restrooms, the Palms Poker Room is situated on the north side of the resort, close to the Race & Sports Book as well as self parking.
Palms is the Official Las Vegas home of the Epic Poker League. The Epic Poker League is a special Pro/Am Event that offers a special tournament league with several well know poker professionals (including Annie Duke) and televised tournament events.
The Palms Poker Room is centrally managed by a brush desk that also serves as the poker cashier and several different promotions are advertised throughout the room. Offering 1/3NLHE, 2/4LHE, and 4/8LHE the Palms Poker Room is one of the few rooms near the Strip to offer different low limit Hold'em alternatives as well as No Limit Hold'em.
Joe Viator is a recent addition to the Palms Poker Room and serves at the Poker Room Manager. He brings with him several years of experience in the poker industry and has introduced many aggressive jackpot related promotions to his room.
Cocktail service includes sodas, limited top shelf and call drinks, as well as energy drinks and juices. Tableside food delivery is also available 24 hours a day and can be paid for with the Palms Winner's Club card.
The comps that the Palms offers all players includes $1 per hour earned comps as well as a complimentary buffet after eight hours of play. The buffet comp does not charge against the $1 per hour that players earn. The earned comps can be combined and used for select restaurants at the Palms Resort.

Home of the Pokerati Game
By: Grange95 Date: 01/05/12

Pretty average room. Not too special, but certainly comfortable with restrooms adjacent and next to the casino floor. Hosts the Pokerati mixed 1/2 NLHE/PLO game, which is awesome for those looking to learn PLO in a friendly environment.... Read more »

Least favorite room
By: TRB Date: 10/10/11

This room is the size of a restroom next to the casino with six tables and a small reception desk. The tables I was at were in good shape but two of the chairs I had were tlited to the side. The piped in music is very loud and modern. It is the least enjoyable room of the 30 or so I have played in. The only reason to play here again to me would be if I happened to live very close by and didn't wa... Read more »

Promos pack small, mostly locals room
By: twriter Date: 09/09/11

This room has a lot going for it. The play is generally soft and the dealers are good. It gives away a lot in promotions and takes just a $1 jackpot drop. But the tables are a bit crowded together, and not all have shufflers. The seats are just OK comfortable. The room is packed during promo periods, but dead when the promos are not in effect. (I made the mistake of stopping by on a Saturday after... Read more »

Busy room near Strip, plenty of 4/8 on weekday afternoons
By: Local Rock Date: 06/24/11

The room had an energetic vibe due to being totally packed for their very successful weekday afternoon "Action Aces" promo. It is not large or elegant, but I find it pleasant enough and restrooms couldn't possibly be any more conveniently located for poker players. Space in the room is a little tight, but not bad. Lists are handled the old fashioned way, with pen and paper.... Read more »

By: gator904 Date: 04/26/08

WOW, I read the last review and it was dejavou, I flopped an A high flush, seated across from dealer, The cocktail girl taps me on shoulder to give me my drink, I call raise to look down and see no cards, an oriental dealer had swiped them, I called floor but the guy I raised protested, dead hand, dead hand, he was a local so it went his way, I grabbed the top two cards and called them, A 9 spades... I Was Pleasantly Suprised
By: joel1968 Date: 10/18/07

I thought I would try the Palms since I live just a few minutes west of there, and I liked what I found. Tables in good shape, chairs reasonably comfortable. The easiest chairs to move. Their room is actually two rooms, one for limit and one for NL. There is a table in the back of the NL side for higher stakes games. The rooms are separated by a hallway with payphones and restrooms in the bac... Read more »
