Tuscany Player Room Review

Adequate
12/21/05, Player: chrishouston

Total Rating: 3.95

Room Quality Rating: 4
Room Quality Description: Nothing wrong with the room. It is off to the side and generally closed off, so you don't have many distractions. Chairs are comfy and tables are nice.

Competition Rating: 3
Competition Description: I played 3-6 at first and could not figure out how to beat a table full of stay-to-the-river, I-will-play-any-two-cards-period players. It was by far the worst 3-6 table I have ever sat at. And I saw two or three of the same people each time. The funny thing is, one of these people actually thought they were a competent player. She chased an inside straight draw to the river, being check raised all the way down and caught it. The person she beat went off accordingly. She at least was smart enough to keep her mouth shut. I will give her credit for that, not much else. Anyways, that table cleaned my clock once, and that was enough. Especially when I got aces UTG, raised, and got 6 callers, including the guy to my left who calls with a 2-4 offsuit. Flop comes A-2-4 and when he turned them over he said" not everyone can play a 2-4". I cashed out and went to the 1-2 NL where I turned my 200$ into 500$. Much better players, and you can actually protect your good cards with a bet. Lots of action on this table both nights I played on it. (all of this is typical for the switch from 3-6 to NL, but I was just a bit shocked at how bad the 3-6 really was). No idea how to crack that game, because I cant bring myself to play bad cards and hope to catch. I tried playing super tight, didnt work either. Tried a mix, didnt work either. But then again, I only played a few rounds, so I didnt give the law of averages time to work out possibly.

Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: Wasn't really swayed either way by the dealers, they kinda flew under the rader. Off duty dealers would sit and play. Kinda uneasy about that, but I wasnt drinking, so just kept my eyes and ears open, didnt notice anything out of line.

Cocktail Rating: 5
Cocktail Description: Quick and came around often. Attractive enough.

Management Rating: 4
Management Description: Usually played late at nite, so no complaints from me.

Comps Rating: 4
Comps Description: Poker room rate was good, and I witnessed plenty of cash giveaways.
