Stardust Player Room Review Same old room 12/13/05, Player: dukeandduke Total Rating: 3.30 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: Made the room no smoking (since my last visit) which I would have liked except for the fact players just stand on the rail and smoke and unless you are in the middle / back tables you might as well be in the smoking room. They replaced the tables with new clean ones with automatic shuffle machines which was needed. They now have a no limit game. Many regulars playing for the freeroll game which hurt the games by the fact they would leave for 20 minutes + to "earn" their time on the clock leaving the game shorthanded. The room is populated by middle age / old players so if you are looking for a young game you will be disappointed (the oldies music is set for their crowd). Competition Rating: 3 Competition Description: Many regulars - a few good players at each table. Some newbiews from the rodeo helped things out. Dealer Rating: 4 Dealer Description: I liked several of the dealers. Most are friendly. They know most of the players and keep the game moving along. Cocktail Rating: 2 Cocktail Description: Middle aged + waitresses so don't come here looking for Wynn / Bellagio cocktail waitresses. The mixed drinks were well drinks so unless you are a water or beer guy you will not like the room. The only plus is they seem to come around a lot - wish they served something I liked. Management Rating: 3 Management Description: Kept the games moving along. Looked for new players every 10 minutes or so on the general casino sound system and informed waiting players on it as well. Comps Rating: 5 Comps Description: Food comp after 4 hours ($5), poker room rate. Freeroll tournament and bad beat pot ($68,000 currently). What is not to like which is why the same regulars are there year in and year out. Back to Stardust Room Review |
