Stardust Player Room Review

Geriatric daycare?
12/12/05, Player: fishbonesoup

Total Rating: 3.50

Room Quality Rating: 3
Room Quality Description: Nondescript actually can't remember one thing about the room. I guess thats good if you're there to play cards. A lot of local old folks........a lot. Kinda felt like playing at the nursing home would feel.

Competition Rating: 5
Competition Description: This was the one place where I felt like I ruled the table. I knew what everyone was holding and it was usually junk. Yet they held on to it. Only played for 3 hours before girlfriend couldn't take the atmosphere any more, but I more than tripled up before they wouldn't play with me anymore. And I ain't that good. Don't know if they were bad players or bored or both.

Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: The dealers were good. I don't care if they talk or not as long as they deal fast and keep good track of pots. Most of them just sat down and dealt, said hi to the people they knew and that was it.

Cocktail Rating: 4
Cocktail Description: Attractive? If that matters when you're thirsty, no. My dad might think so, or maybe even his dad. I don't care about that, just want my drink when I want it. The one lady was great, I made my first order and asked her to 'keep em comin'. I never had to order again. She brought 2 at a time and they were strong. Strangely though, she disappeared a half hour before we left. And I mean disappeared, no replacement. While she was there though no one was thirsty.

Management Rating: 3
Management Description: Not a lot of people so the guy didn't have a lot to do. Couldn't sit me immediately at a NL table so I asked to play whatever was open and to be put on the list. He opened a table soon after, came and got me, remembered my name and brought a chip tray for me to move with. Nice guy.

Comps Rating: 3
Comps Description: No high hand jackpot, but a difficult to get bad beat jackpot(apparently). Aces full of 10s or better beaten. Dealer said it hadn't been hit forever and was well over $70,000. Didn't ask about comp dollars.
