Hilton Player Room Review opening night 09/14/05, Player: tmontana079 Total Rating: 3.10 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: even thought the room wasn't great, the tables were nice and it has a great location inside one of the best sports book in town. the reason i think the location is so great is because it was actaully quiet. unlike some other nice rooms in town like the MGM room you can actually think about what you're doing instead of listening to a concert or slot machines going off every two seconds. Competition Rating: 3 Competition Description: even though mr. all vegas poker said it was a baby no limit game on opening night i think he may of felt different if he were actually at my table. there was a very loose and loud player at my table that was waiting to cash in a $30,000 sports ticket (which he actually showed me) who dumped $600 in the 3 hours i played there plus he put another guy on serious tilt when he sucked out with a 2 outter on the river to win a $350 pot.after three hours of play I walked away $264 up and that was after losing a $450 pot when another player at the table hit an inside straight draw on the turn to crush my pocket kings. overall the competion was average but i think there is more money to be won off of average players here. Dealer Rating: 3 Dealer Description: very nice and overall decent at dealing. I had one woman who was a good dealer (she used to deal at the plaza) and one younger guy who was fresh out of school and had a tough time keeping track of winning hands. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: on this night i didn't drink because i actually had to drive home but from what i saw the cocktails were coming quickly, but the room was a bit overstaffed for opening night so the cocktail service may change down the road. Management Rating: 4 Management Description: for opening night they did a good job. Comps Rating: 3 Comps Description: didn't look into the comps even though i will because I will be playing there more since the room is 5 minutes from my house. Back to Hilton Room Review |
