Management: 1 Absolute worst management ever. After waiting a half hour for my 1-2 NLH seat, Nick, the floor manager at the time, called my name and asked how many chips I want. I gave him $200 and said I wanted "all red". He started to argue with me and said "how about I give you $20 in white and the rest in red". I said no thanks, I'll take all red. He seemed to get mad and said how are you gonna post blinds if you don't have white chips?! I told him I'll manage, the dealers can make change. I assumed he was being a smart ass, but now that I think about it, maybe he doesn't know anything about poker? While we were talking someone else came up wanting to join the list. List was about 5 deep. Nick the manager handed me my money back and told the new player that he has a seat for him! He put the new player in my seat (cutting him in front of everyone on the list) and did not allow me to play because I did not want a stack of white chips! You couldn't make this stuff up! That night I threw my player card away. I don't see any reason to play at Caesars properties anymore because: A) Caesars rakes $5+$1 , while MGM rakes either $4+$1 or $4 straight (with no jackpot drop.) ..and B) Because I have never seen such poor management in my life! If he can't handle waiting lists and buy ins, how is he going to handle a ruling on a hand if there's a dispute? |
