Room Quality: 4 Situated in an area next to the sportsbook near several restaurants and some pit games - kind of in the middle of everything. It is on the south side of the casino, making the walk from self-park and the TI tram a long one. All equipment in good the excellent condition. Fully adjustable chairs on casters. Somewhat softly lit. Twenty tables in a room originally built for 30 means a ton of room. Bathroom is right next door. |
Competition: 4 Mostly easy spots. I played mostly in the evening or at night, so I had no experience with the morning nits. The second $4/8 mixed game session I played was full of n00bs - should have been very profitable but they also sucked out on me. |
Dealers: 5 Years of experience combined with new, better rules means a solid crew. No mistakes noted in multiple sessions. Most dealers who dealt in the two mixed game sessions I played noted they hadn't dealt some of those games in years, but as soon as they did a couple of hands it was smooth as buttah. Good personalities. |
Cocktails: 3 No real complaints, but not the best either. Friendly but average looking. Speed was mid-pack. I didn't get any alcohol so I can't comment on their strength. |
Management: 5 I never played at the Mirage before Chris took over because of the (bad) reputation of the previous administration's management. If those reports are accurate - and I have no reason to doubt they are - then Chris has really flipped the switch. Everybody was welcoming and glad to have you playing there. Willing to spread anything - I played $4/8 mixed games and tried to start a $1/2 NLHE/PLO game. Hours tracked at the podium - don't forget to clock out! |
Comps & Bonuses: 4 Plenty of jackpots can be had. Aces cracked in the morning, with split payouts depending on mixed or solid colors. No bravo system, so food comps must be asked for and they expire on midnight the next day. Chris, keep pushing for Genesis Bravo. Your room needs it. |
