Low limit heaven, best servers on the strip

Imperial Palace
Total Rating: 4.05

Rating
Room Quality: 3
Not a room per se, just a half-walled area on the right of the pit (as viewed from the front entrance) between some noisy slots and a bar. Largest poker tables in the west. The felt design is somewhat busy, featuring images of two of the cocktail servers. Genesis Bravo table check-in/out, computerized list. Two flat screen TVs high on the back wall.
Competition: 4
I logged several sessions at the IP on my most recent trip, and the competition is loose and lucky. My first session was marred by a guy who was on an unbelievable heater - he cracked my AA with 32 offsuit when the board came J32. Thankfully he overbet the pot and I laid it down. The last session featured a drunk guy who hadn't played popker before, but claimed he knew the game because he played a lot of 3 and 4 card poker in the pit. Ohhh-kayyy! Too bad I couldn't get any hands against him - he was spewing chips. Had I caught myself, I would have doubled my buy-in every time. The mixed game featured players who knew what they were doing, so that's the reason it's a "4" and not a "5".
Dealers: 5
What can I say, they rock! No mistakes that I can recall, and every dealer that sat in the box for the mixer knew exactly how to deal each game.
Cocktails: 5
If I could give I higher rating, I would. I have no idea how a low-level property like the IP is able to keep a staff of quick, capable, friendly, and drop dead gorgeous servers. Frankly, I think the IP servers are the best on the strip - that's right, in my opinion, I think the IP outdoes even the Venetian. Call me crazy, but from what I saw, it's true.
Management: 5
Friendly, helpful, and in control of the situation. Willing to spread anything - they do host the Sunday night 10 game Mixer, after all.
Comps & Bonuses: 5
It's down to $1/hour, now with tier credits, on your Total Rewards card. TR is the best rewards system of any casino group out there - it can be used for rooms, food, or anything else where TR is accepted in any Harrah's property nationwide. Considering there are a few Harrah's properties within an easy day's drive of my house (I live in central Iowa), that comes in very handy.
