Stardust Player Room Review
My first poker playing experience in Vegas
04/20/05, Player: khoffren
Total Rating: 3.70
Room Quality Rating: 3
Room Quality Description: The room was in good condition, but it was somewhat tight. There were only a few tables, but a lot of similar faces each day. Table talk was low, but it seemed as if there were some locals that went there each day for the progressive bad beat jackpot.
Competition Rating: 4
Competition Description: Outside of the few regulars, there were a lot of tourists just giving their money away. There was one individual at my table that called every hand because it was low limits, and he kept cashing in $100's left and right. There were a couple of elderly ladies, that had no clue. Every time they had a hand their faces glowed with excitement. There were tells all over the place.
Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: The dealers didn't screw up much at all. They were friendly, but able to keep the game play going. Overall, I was very satisfied with them.
Cocktail Rating: 4
Cocktail Description: The coctails were very easy to come by at all hours of the day.
Management Rating: 5
Management Description: Even though the room was small, the manager made it very easy to get a space at the table. They were overall very friendly. Being the first time playing poker in Vegas, it was easy to get in a game.
Comps Rating: 4
Comps Description: The bad beat jackpot was huge. I think it was over $50,000 when I was there. I did not play long enough to receive any free food comps and such.
