Bally's Player Room Review Very profitable trip to Bally's 03/12/08, Player: whoseywhat Total Rating: 3.65 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: The tables were in good condition. The poker room was just a sectioned off area with a bar on one side and table games on another. When playing on the edge, it could be a little distracting. Competition Rating: 5 Competition Description: The best time to play at Bally's is 3am through the morning morning tournament. I played with a bunch of drunk 20-somethings who were raising incredible amounts of money on bottom pairs and drawing hands. Of course, there was the occasional suck out, but I walked away up over $500 on two consecutive nights. Dealer Rating: 3 Dealer Description: Competent dealers, controlled the action well. They ejected a guy from the poker room for foul language. Some dealers had better personalities than others. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: The waitresses were not attractive. They were quick though. Of course, the bar was right next to the poker room. Management Rating: 5 Management Description: Management was always available, always checking in, talking with the guests. I saw two conflicts resolved very well. Comps Rating: 4 Comps Description: I believe the comps were $1 for every hour of play on the Total Rewards card. You have to make sure they swipe your card in and out though. I was only asked for my card once (and not the first time). I must have played 18 hours before ever thinking to give them my card. I don't believe poker contributes anything to your tier score, so if you're looking to move to Platinum or Diamond, you're not going to get there in the poker room. Back to Bally's Room Review |
