Tropicana Player Room Review You have to ask but they do have comps. 03/01/08, Player: fishtank Total Rating: 3.45 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: I've been there my last two trips (August & November 07). I usually start playing in the afternoons and linger if I have any luck. In August I found a game but in November-nothing. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: In August I played about five hours and won $300.00 playing 1/2 NL. There were a couple of locals but mostly tourists who weren't very experienced. Dealer Rating: 4 Dealer Description: Dealers are friendly and helpful but nothing special. Cocktail Rating: 4 Cocktail Description: I don't do the alcohol thing but they kept me well supplied with hot chocolate and bottled water. Waitresses were okay to look at but since I'm a girl, I don't pay much attention. Management Rating: 4 Management Description: Management was friendly and helpful. They stand around a lot so I guess it's nice to have someone to talk to. Comps Rating: 3 Comps Description: They don't advertise it but someone, a dealer I think, told me that if you play there for four hours they will give you a free buffet so after four hours I asked and they gave me a chit for the buffet. Problem is, the buffet is small and the food was not very good - mediocre at best. All in all, though, it was a nice experience. I registered for a players card and played enough slots to win a tshirt and got a cheap hotdog and drink and even won an extra $25 on the slots - making my net gain for the afternoon $320, a tshirt and two free meals.
