Excalibur Player Room Review Poor Play Reigns Supreme 02/17/08, Player: GolfBaller70 Total Rating: 3.25 Room Quality Rating: 2 Room Quality Description: In regards to room quality it is one of the worst rooms I have ever played in Vegas. It is right in the middle of the casino and can get very loud with all of the fishy slot players around. Competition Rating: 5 Competition Description: Despite the poor room quality, the competition is some of the worst I have ever seen. I only played 1/2 NL and watched some of the limit holdem game and the play was extremely poor. I was NEVER reraised preflop and many times got even up to 5 callers preflop on a normal raise. At all times I felt in complete control of the table and you cant say that for very many rooms. The play post-flop was just as donkish. Dealer Rating: 3 Dealer Description: The dealers were overall pretty average with no glaring weaknesses at all. They are certainly not Wynn dealers but they run a smooth game and I had no problems with them at all. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: The cocktail waitresses were fairly haneous to be honest. They were no prize to look at and there were a few times were it took a while to get a drink. I still find it really hard to complain that much when you can sit and play for 5 hours and have 8-10 import beers on the house. Vegas is great isnt it? Management Rating: 5 Management Description: The management was very accomodating in regards to the poker room rate that we got for the two days that we stayed there. We played a marathon session the night we got in and that got us the room rate for BOTH days. There was always a floor person up front who was very friendly and helpful. Comps Rating: 4 Comps Description: I don't know about any comps sicne I never really applied for any at all. I do know that if the aces get cracked you get to spin the wheel and at least get a little money back. It's a really nice thing to do for the customers and also gives the players something to wager on when they're not in the hand, lol. Back to Excalibur Room Review |
