Caesars Palace Player Room Review
My New Favorite Room
02/06/08, Player: statsman
Total Rating: 4.30
Room Quality Rating: 5
Room Quality Description: Very spacious and open, and a max of 9 players at a table built for 10. It felt good to not be squeezed in at a table for once. The room could use some better decoration, but after all, aren't we supposed to be paying attention to the cards on the table more than the decorations on the walls?
Competition Rating: 3
Competition Description: I played in the $75 PLO tournament and at a 3/6 cash game. Players at the tourney were fairly tough but I still managed to cash in 4th place. 3/6 had the usual mix of some experienced players, players killing time while waiting for a seat at a higher limit game or a tourney, and a few newbies. Newbies were practically giving their money away.
Dealer Rating: 5
Dealer Description: The dealers that dealt PLO were very good and always on the ball. Considering that PLO is usually a dealer's worst nightmare, they The ones that dealt the cash games were for the most part friendly. There were very few mistakes/misdeals that I noticed in the 10 or so hours I played.
Cocktail Rating: 4
Cocktail Description: Most of the one's I saw were in their low-to-mid 20's and were pretty hot. Service could have been a little faster, but was satisfactory overall. It's pretty hard to screw up an order Sam Adams.
Management Rating: 5
Management Description: I came in looking for a 3/6 game and was immediately taken to an open seat at a short-handed table that had just started. To keep it going, the floor told me that it would be rake-free (except for $1 per hand to make the table jackpot-eligible) until it filled up. I have never seen any other casino do this, as most simply go to only a half-rake. Managers were all very polite and helpful, calling food/drink service several times for our table to keep us happy, drunk, and gambling :-).
Comps Rating: 3
Comps Description: $1 per hour, which seems like the standard on the Strip.
