Excalibur Player Room Review Old room, can be profitable 12/24/07, Player: Blue Total Rating: 3.05 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: Its a fenced off area in the middle of the casino. No electronic board, the seats are pretty uncomfortable, smoke seeps in from the outside. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: This is the main reason I was here. If you're playing solid poker, you're gonna make money. Played at two tables with only one tricky player. Others will call your preflop raise of $15 with 7-8o or 8-10o "because small cards have been hitting all day." I was able to limp reraise (almost all in) with KK and then AA within about 20 minutes of each other. (Called and got doubled up each time). Uhhh are we paying attention folks? Dealer Rating: 2 Dealer Description: Most of them have been working here since the dawn of mankind. I was in the room about 2 years ago and the same people were working then as now. Generally speaking, its an older set of dealers well set in their ways. Not overly polite, professional or friendly. Cocktail Rating: 2 Cocktail Description: Didn't have a problem with getting my drinks. Asked for plain tea and then got it with sugar. Not a big deal. The waitresses aren't super models. Go to another casino if you really care about cocktail service. Management Rating: 4 Management Description: No complaints. The lady running the room played along with us on a joke on one of the people in our group so thats kinda nice. Comps Rating: 3 Comps Description: Bad beat, high hand, etc. Payouts are small though.
