Excalibur (Live) Player Room Review Tight but Fun Room 12/16/07, Player: thisguy74 Total Rating: 3.75 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: This place is as much a room as your office cubicle in Dilbert land. There is glass to cordon the area off from the slots and table games, but it isn't technically a room. It is right next to the sports book so getting scores and watching games while you play is easy. They also have flat screens hung on the walls above the area with ESPN or other sports networks playing. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: The folks at the tables were quite tight. With a good mind you can read them and their style of play pretty quickly. You will get sucked out on the river, but overall, smart card playing will prevail here. Don't expect to make a living on these folks, the pot never gets that big. Dealer Rating: 5 Dealer Description: The dealers are a big reason I like the Excalibur. They are friendly and usually funny. I know mistakes get made, but I haven't seen anything tragic that wasn't a simple slip. I only saw one mistake in 2 days and it was quickly resolved. Everytime I go, they make it a good time. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: Generally the cocktails come on a regular basis. I would like to see them around a bit more and a bit faster on the return. Management Rating: 4 Management Description: They were friendly enough and tried to get people into games quickly. When I wanted 2-4 limit and they had no seats, they gave me a run down of options in case I really wanted to sit right away. They also were friendly in explaining how the other systems worked. When a seat did open, they knew who I was and kept track of me to get me in the game. Comps Rating: 5 Comps Description: The bad beat Jackpots are great- Cracked Aces and four of a kinds give you a shot at spinning their wheel which at minimum is $20.
