Tropicana Player Room Review Fast Drinks, Plasma TVs, 4 tournaments daily, and 1-2 NL cash all day 11/03/07, Player: theNexus1 Total Rating: 4.15 Room Quality Rating: 4 Room Quality Description: It's no VENETIAN, but then again the Tropicana has been around since the 50's. The pictures on the wall (all in black and white) depict the very nature of the room, and their tag line "The way vegas used to be") Competition Rating: 3 Competition Description: Some players are good, but most are decent at best. Dealer Rating: 5 Dealer Description: Most of the dealers are good, however there is a dealer from Chicagoland I forget his name, he has a great personality and is fun to be at the table with. He really makes you feel welcomed whether you buy-in for $40 or $200. Cocktail Rating: 5 Cocktail Description: FAST DRINKS!!! If you are tipping well, the drinks are there every 5-10 minutes...especially if there are only 1 or 2 tables going. I have never seen drinks come to a poker room like they do at the Tropicana Management Rating: 5 Management Description: The new manager is fantastic, he goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure you are happy with your experience. Yes, they used to be managed by virtual idiots, but not anymore. The management and Floor Staff are great now. Comps Rating: 4 Comps Description: Currently they have a standard $4 rake (assuming a pit of $40 or more) and no High Hand or Bad Beat Jackpots. The Poker Room manager informed me they are working on trying to get it in the semi-near future. Other then that, the Buffet comp is phenomenal. Back to Tropicana Room Review |
