Excalibur (Live) Player Room Review Great Value, Great Action, Big Fish! 10/29/07, Player: Spiffysean Total Rating: 3.80 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: Nothing special on the room quality. The tables were spaced out nicely, and plenty of room to play. Competition Rating: 5 Competition Description: Fish Central! I think because it is right in the middle of everything, and is a rather unassuming room, it draws a great amount of drunken donks. The 2-6 spread limit hold'em game was as soft as could be, with people often time sticking in with next to nothing. Nuts and bolts poker will net you a good profit, even at low-limits. Dealer Rating: 4 Dealer Description: Surprisingly good for a smaller strip room. Nothing compared to your Mirage or Venetian dealers, but then again, you can do a lot more stuff at these tables. They let me girlfriend sit right behind me, didn't complain about anything really. Dealers were on top of things, and aside from one older guy who barely knew where he was, they were attentive. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: Later at night, you can pretty much double fist at will. Nothing flashy, and the waitresses aren't hot... But if you need a need a beer, you can get a beer. Management Rating: 4 Management Description: Since it was smaller, they were on top of things. They run a few very nice low-buy in NL tournies (which I cashed in) Comps Rating: 5 Comps Description: EXCELLENT comps for a small room. They don't swipe in your cards, but they will give you a 4 dollar off coupon for any place to eat in the casino, which is nice. The BIG thing is the WHEEL OF DOOOOOOOM! For having your aces cracked, or having quads (even if you only use one of your hole cards) you get to spin this wheel with values ranging from 20 dollars to 100 dollars. The wheel also has double and triple spaces on it, which double or triple what you spin. But WAIT!!! There is more! On some nights, the room offers "Double spin bonus" which auto-doubles whatever you spin. It allows for up 600 dollars for one bad beat. I had quads, and spun the wheel from my 2-6 limit game, got 75 dollars, and had it doubled to 150 bucks! That alone is not a bad score at a 2-6 game, so I was basically playing with the house's money for the rest of the night. Back to Excalibur (Live) Room Review |
