Excalibur (Live) Player Room Review Friendly place, but not meant for a serious poker player 10/13/07, Player: Grant_ENT Total Rating: 3.05 Room Quality Rating: 2 Room Quality Description: Not really a room, just a partitioned area in the middle of the casino floor (although this does invite a lot of crappy players to play). Nothing special about the tables. Competition Rating: 5 Competition Description: The players are generally bad. Even the "local guy" that all the dealers knew by name was a pretty bad player. This can lead to easy money but also to some incredible suckouts (ie runner runner dreams). The NL tournaments are cheap and go fast, and its pretty easy to make the final table. Dealer Rating: 2 Dealer Description: They are nice people but don't enforce the rules of poker much. Saw some string bets allowed. One time a dealer accidentally mucked a guys hand next to him and management tried to let him dig it out of the muck pile!! Cocktail Rating: 4 Cocktail Description: Prompt and friendly. Management Rating: 3 Management Description: Management friendly but again didnt always make right decisions when conflicts arose. Would be nice to have computerized list. Comps Rating: 4 Comps Description: Spin a wheel for cash if quads or better or if you get cracked aces. Didn't ask about free food. Back to Excalibur (Live) Room Review |
