Plaza Player Room Review $40 SNG Tourney Rating only - Great Value 07/28/07, Player: JL 21 Total Rating: 3.15 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: Great for those who love the vintage vegas atmosphere, bad for those who play poker in suit & tie ensembles. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: Older locals mixed with lower income husband/wive tourists make for a fairly easy game; occasionally there will be more than 2 good players at a single table SNG tourney, but rare. SNG tourneys are $40, average <1 hour per tourney, and pays top 2, but sometimes chopped between top 3, depending on duration of game and stacks. Dealer Rating: 5 Dealer Description: Brian is my favorite dealer in town; absolutely hilarious. The entertainment he provides makes up for the homely looking cocktail waitresses...Julio is decent as well... Cocktail Rating: 2 Cocktail Description: Average service, average wait time, below average on appearance. I'm no one to judge looks but it has to be said. Management Rating: 2 Management Description: Scary looking managers, one of the older females is very loud and obnoxious...for SNG format, they don't have to do much other than check the sign-up list (pencil & paper) and call folks on the speaker when a table is ready...which they did in a timely manner. However, the dealers talk bad about management and settle table disputes/situations themselves when there is controversy so one would be inclined to say that management in incompetent. Comps Rating: 3 Comps Description: Didn't see any program here for SNG format...not sure about cash game. Back to Plaza Room Review |
