Sahara Player Room Review Good tourney structure, lousy room 03/23/07, Player: AdRock Total Rating: 2.50 Room Quality Rating: 2 Room Quality Description: They don't have autoshufflers on most tables, the room is old and gets cramped when they get 150 in the tournament. While the room is non-smoking, tables near the rail are horrible for smoke. Competition Rating: 3 Competition Description: Some good tournament players. Some people who have no clue about tournament strategy. Saw a lots of hands with four of five limpers as if it were a cash game and people committed half their stack pre-flop. Dealer Rating: 3 Dealer Description: For the most part I like the dealers here; they're pretty friendly. But a couple of them were very, very slow. And in a timed tournament, seeing two more hands in a level can make a difference. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: Didn't order anything; I think they're a bit overwhelmed during the tournament. Management Rating: 2 Management Description: Allow registration over the phone. Crammed too many people into tournament tables and we had to play 11 handed; one table I played at was intended to be a 7 player stud table -- 10 was tight, 11 was a joke. Also saw them send players to occupied seats when tables broke more than once. Comps Rating: 3 Comps Description: Don't really expect comps in a tourney. They do have sandwiches at the first break.
