Tuscany Player Room Review Dealers Without A Clue 03/11/07, Player: Bubba Total Rating: 2.60 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: Room was OK Competition Rating: 3 Competition Description: Competition was modest. Dealer Rating: 1 Dealer Description: During evening tourney, dealers consistently made mistakes, mucking players cards prematurely, rushing players and correcting player mistakes. Management listened to complaints, but stood behind poor dealer decisions. In the most blatant case, I was in the small blind with the only other player left folding. I called the big blind at which time the big blind threw his cards to the dealer in an obvious intent to fold his hand. The dealer slid his cards back to him and told him he didn't need to fold as he was in the big blind and that there were no raises in front of him. Consequently, the big blind drew out and won the substantial pot. This was at the end of the tournament when there were only 3 people left. The big blind shouldn't have needed dealer intervention. He made an obvious mistake and the dealer corrected him to my detriment. Unfortunately, the room manager didn't overturn the dealers mistake. On a subsequent visit, the same dealer mucked two players hands while action was pending. Granted the hands weren't protected, but in seats 4 and 7, they aren't typically considered at risk. Again, management did nothing to deal with the situation. Dealers frequently rush players, turn additional cards up after a hand has concluded and generally don't follow normal professional dealer protocol. I won't go back to the Tuscany.
