Aladdin Player Room Review No compelling reason to play here 12/24/06, Player: DenverBrian Total Rating: 3.10 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: Well, at least it's not in its "old" temporary home on the first floor. It's now in a "new" temporary home on the mezzanine level - very quiet, but uncomfortable chairs and tables without autoshufflers. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: Some locals but also some drunken call stations. Dealer Rating: 1 Dealer Description: The worst dealers I've ever seen in Vegas. Consistently slow; most over-shuffled the deck 6-8 times; several had issues placing the button correctly. On one play, after a drunken call station played Hollywood with her chips for over two minutes, she then string raised. When I noted that, the dealer and the player both said she was just getting her chips ready! When I cashed out I noted this to the supervisor, who agreed with me and said "you should ask for the floor immediately next time." This isn't the point. The dealers should be trained properly on fundamentals such as string raises. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: Average speed, below average size. Management Rating: 3 Management Description: See dealer rating above. There's a certain New York/east coast swagger about some of the management. Comps Rating: 4 Comps Description: Aladdin is running a high hand jackpot for quads or better. But so does Bally's, and there are far more reasons to go there than Aladdin.
