Tropicana Player Room Review Soft and Friendly 11/14/06, Player: wcb Total Rating: 3.70 Room Quality Rating: 4 Room Quality Description: Not super fancy, but for what it is it's fine. Everything was clean and in decent shape. Tables have built in drink holders which I like. Very nice TVs. Competition Rating: 5 Competition Description: Played two long sessions of 1-2 NL here, one late Friday night and the other on Sunday afternoon. Both times there were two or three decent players, a couple I would consider average (not winning players), and four or five who were clueless to the point where basic betting concepts eluded them. I don't play much NL, but I found these games unbelievably easy to beat. Dealer Rating: 3 Dealer Description: I only saw one real mistake, where a pot was about to be pushed to the wrong player until a couple of us spoke up. Dealers were all friendly, but a few didn't speak english very well. They all seemed competent. Cocktail Rating: 5 Cocktail Description: Cocktail waitresses were always around. The room is just steps from the bar, so the drinks come quickly. Tropicana has a better selection of beers than most of the other rooms I've played in. Management Rating: 4 Management Description: They seem to really be trying to make this a nice place to play. On Sunday the supervisor went out of his way to make sure everyone had a view of the games they wanted to keep an eye on. The one dispute between players that I witnessed was handled professionally.
