Room Quality: 4 The room was in very good condition -- a little smoky, but what do you expect in Las Vegas? The tables were nice, and the chairs were moderately comfortable. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. |
Competition: 4 There were a lot of beginners at my table, which is both good and bad. I was playing a NL Hold'em tournament, and you can't bluff out beginners because they call everything. I figured this out, but it was too late to save me in the tourney. |
Dealers: 4 The dealers didn't make any mistakes and kept the game moving. They didn't talk a whole lot, but they knew what they were doing. They got bent cards out of play quickly, which was nice. |
Cocktails: 4 Cocktail waitresses were virtually omnipresent. Nobody had any trouble getting drinks, and the drinks themselves were not bad. |
Management: 4 The tournament moved along at a nice pace, and blinds increased at regular levels. The ring games around us seemed to be well managed. |
Comps & Bonuses: 3 There was a decent bad-beat jackpot that paid both players as well as everyone else at the table. Other than that, not much in the way of comps. |
