Aladdin Player Room Review

2 tourneys and 1/2 NLHE
09/24/06, Player: catmanducmu

Total Rating: 3.50

Room Quality Rating: 3
Room Quality Description: I would give the room an excellent if it were actually a room. It is a roped off area right in the middle of all the noisy slot machines with a huge wheel of fortune game 20 feet away and they were putting together a new Deal or No Deal slot machine not 10 feet away. The bathrooms are also right there so we had a lot of people walking through the room to get there. Tables are nice new Planet Hollywood with wood racetracks and good chairs. 2 nice plasma tvs in the corner, one used for tournament program.

Competition Rating: 5
Competition Description: Blinds went up fast so it was an all in fest after a while. I built up a chip lead early and played tight aggressive and got 4th in the first one and made the final table in the second. My wife got sucked out on in the first three hands to get knocked out. Lots of calling stations who will suck out on you. During cash play it was like shooting fish in a barrell. Chasing down to the river with middle pair and draws with incorrect pot odds. I bought in for $75 and was up to $200 within an hour. Only to go broke after my full house got beat by quads.

Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: Most dealers were very good, friendly and would talk with you (especially Junior). Wayne was a nonstop talker/ complainer. He was talking during one hand when someone went all in, did not announce it and he mucked his cards because he thought the hand was over.

Cocktail Rating: 5
Cocktail Description: In the day time the service was ok. I just had tea and water but they came fairly fast. In the evening though, man were they fast. It was like we were in a fancy restaurant with the waitresses that just hover around your table. Every 5 minutes they'd ask for drink orders and bring them right back. Very good.

Management Rating: 5
Management Description: Very friendly! Organized! Used tournament director type program with blinds/ timer/ payouts, etc on one tv in the corner.

Comps Rating: 1
Comps Description: Did not ask about comps. Did have weekly high hand jackpots. one guy at our table got KKKK and won only $50 because someone had just won it. The other jackpots were $100-599.
