Harrah's Player Room Review
Good environment, good service
08/21/06, Player: joebrazil3
Total Rating: 3.40
Room Quality Rating: 4
Room Quality Description: The room is enclosed (great) but is rather small (not so great). Chairs are comfy, and the room is well lit.
Competition Rating: 3
Competition Description: It hasn't been easy here for me after three visits, but that's a factor of my bad luck rather than an indication of the quality of the play. I did find two players my equal in tight-aggressive play at each table, though.
Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: Next to Palace Station, the friendliest.
Cocktail Rating: 5
Cocktail Description: The waitress working here days is a senior; she's very much not as attractive as she was thirty years ago but she works the room dilligently and remembers my name and what I drink (and yes if you love Guinness this is the place). If this isn't your idea of excellent then I recommend the service across the street at Caesar's.
Management Rating: 3
Management Description: The waits and inflow are better managed than at Caesar's; since Caesar's has about six time the size of this room I'll cut them a break.
Comps Rating: 1
Comps Description: Not tying the comps to the Total Rewards account is a major faux-pas. I do play other games and I do appreciate the opportunity to pool my comp. Furthermore, the comp you do get written is usually too small to pay for food at the overpriced restaurants. The high-hand jackpots are nice but they're raked. If you just want to eat free, play next door at the Imperial Palace.
