Stardust Player Room Review Ashes to Ashes, Stardust to Stardust - Sadly this place is closed 07/26/06, Player: grimjack Total Rating: 4.35 Room Quality Rating: 4 Room Quality Description: I wrote a review about this room a few months ago. I just wanted to let people know it is closed to make way for a new giant, sprawling many hotels/ many casinos mega mega resort. I'm glad they are keeping this page up so that people who have heard of this casino/room will know what happened to it. This was a very popular place over the years and many people will likely not know it is gone...as they say, "ashes to ashes, stardust to stardust" Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: I am sad to see this place go. They say the Stardust name came from the phosphoressent mushroom clouds you could see in the distance at night wack when they used to test nuclear weapons above ground in the 40s and 50s. That was the 'Stardust' they were talking about, and what the Neon resembled. Apparently watching these tests was quite a thrill for Vegas travlers back then and they would all line up like people do today to watch the Space Shuttle blast off. Perhaps this explains why the competition here was so soft...radioactive decay. Dealer Rating: 5 Dealer Description: The dealers never made any mistakes, so they must have been inside, dealing and wearing their lead coated underware when the blasts that gave this place their name were going off. Cocktail Rating: 4 Cocktail Description: A good older waitress brought cocktails regularly, loosening up the fish. Management Rating: 5 Management Description: I will miss Sarge Comps Rating: 5 Comps Description: Wow did this place dole out good comps for poker players. I will miss the free steak and lobster with their stackable food comp coupons after 8 hours of play. Back to Stardust Room Review |
