Gold Coast Player Room Review Mostly locals 05/17/06, Player: chowhound Total Rating: 3.60 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: The room is a roped off corner in the back of the casino, therefore not many tourists find itif they are not looking for it. They do make announcements of open seats that can be heard all over the casino. The tables are in reasonable good shape and I like the chairs with casters that make it is to get in and out. There is an electronic board with the high hand jackpot payoffs. Competition Rating: 3 Competition Description: I played a few hours of 2/4 that had mostly locals and some off duty casino employees. It wasn’t a soft game but made a small profit thanks to a couple of locals that was more interested in conversation then poker. They keep feeding the rest of the table. I know the one bought in for a hundred at least 3 times while I was there. Dealer Rating: 4 Dealer Description: No problems and were friendly. Cocktail Rating: 3 Cocktail Description: The waitress’s were not the youngest in Vegas but were attractive and friendly. No one seemed to have a problem getting a drink when they wanted one. Management Rating: 5 Management Description: I really liked the management. They were friendly and took time to explain the high hand jackpot and other questions, without acting as if was something I was suppose to know, like a couple of other card rooms I played. Comps Rating: 5 Comps Description: They have a high hand jackpot that is posted on an electronic board for Quads and straight flushes. They also have a room discount for so many hours of poker, and an hourly comp rate, but I am not sure what it is. Back to Gold Coast Room Review |
