Tuscany Player Room Review

Not too bad a room!!
05/02/06, Player: SKIBANDIT

Total Rating: 4.10

Room Quality Rating: 4
Room Quality Description: The room at the Tuscany is actually quite nice. It's a smaller room (5 tables, with anywhere for 2-3 playing). Chairs were comfy, seeing red felt on a table is nice for a change instead of green. The poker room staff was very nice and helpful.

Competition Rating: 4
Competition Description: Good mix of locals and out-of-towners. I was an out-of-towner. I was playing 3-6 LIMIT with a Full Kill. A lot of the locals seemed as if they were "pros" and were in just about everyhand. One guy actually bought rack after rack of chips from playing stupid hands. Since the locals (around 6-8 in a room of 20) lived there, I believe they thought they had an advantage. Everyone was very nice and talkative...

Dealer Rating: 4
Dealer Description: Dealers were fast, talkative, and kept a great mood going on the table. I think in the two sessions that I play there, I saw mistakes only twice. One, she almost paid a guy for a full house when there was a four-of-a-kind... (it was me that flopped Quad 8's). The other was a dealing mistake, dealt to the BB first instead of the SB.

Cocktail Rating: 4
Cocktail Description: Waitresses are in-and-out of the room quickly. You need to be fast when you first get there. Once you get your drink, they were around about every time the button passed with whatever you were drinking on their tray. I was just drinking beer, so the quality was good. Others had mixed drinks and I heard no complaints. The girls were very pretty too... not "trashy", but good looking... like the kind you could bring home to mom. They were also very nice, pleasant to talk to.... they had a sense of "pride" in thier work. (Atleast, they acted like they cared) There is a bar inside the poker room, but it looks like it is never open. They allow you to smoke at the bar in the room which was good... I could light up, see that there was a hand, peek at my cards, fold and keep smoking.

Management Rating: 5
Management Description: Manager at the front desk was super. Greeted you warmly, said welcom back, etc. Player list was looked like a scrap of paper but seemed to work well for them.

Comps Rating: 4
Comps Description: Cracked Aces jackpots. I think it was $50 if you had them cracked, but only certain times of the day. They also have small jackpots for four-of-a-kind (ranging in value depending on the hand; my quad 8's paid $75)
